Alison Verlenden, Site Director- Clinical Research, has been working in clinical research for over six years. Alison's experience commenced at the UT Nursing School researching adolescent health behaviors. Her growth in the field followed with a year of conducting Phase I clinical trials at a local overnight clinic. After gaining Phase I trial experience, she continued her career working in Phase II-IV mulit-theraputic clincial research. Alison came on board with Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology in October 2006 focusing her research on Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Thyroid, Obesity, and other Endocrine disorders. The research department includes seven full time Clincial Research Coordinators and seven Investigators. Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology Research department is unique in that it is located within the private practice, allowing daily investigative oversight of all research activities. Our database of research participants includes the large private practice database, as well as, a research developed database from advertising. Alison, together with the CRCs and Investigators, have committed to superior research ethics, excellent patient care and strong sponsor relationships. |
