Amanda graduated from the University of Texas with a Masters degree in Nursing in May 2007. She is certified as an Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 2 years at Round Rock Medical Center on the Medical/Surgical floor prior to obtaining her Masters degree. During her training she spent 3 semesters focusing primarily on patients with Diabetes. She completed clinical training during the Fall of 2007 at Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology and she officially started working at Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology in January 2008. She primarily treats patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, as well as patients with diabetes during pregnancy and patients on insulin pumps.
