Saeideh Akhavipour


Saeideh is a board-certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult-Gerontology. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Ahvaz University of Medical Sciences in Iran, and a Masters degree in Food Science and Technology from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. She obtained her RN licensure in 2017, and completed her Masters of Science in Nursing from UT Austin in May of 2019. With over 20 years of experience, early in her career, she enjoyed working as a nutritionist in a hospital, supervising, assessing, and instructing on food intake requirements of patients with a variety of clinical issues such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obesity. Later on, Saeideh worked as a research and development scientist and a consultant in large food manufacturing companies, developing numerous new concepts and participating in cost reduction and quality improvement projects. She had clinical rotations at Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology for a semester in 2019. She has a passion for educating her patients and helping them achieve optimal health and wellness. Saeideh has lived in the Austin area since 2003 and enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends.
