Dr. Thomas Blevins is Stepping Away

Our founder, Dr. Thomas Blevins, will be stepping away from his active clinical practice to take on a new, focused role within our organization.

Dr. Blevins will stop seeing patients clinically effective Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

After 24 years of clinical practice, Dr. Blevins will now dedicate his extensive expertise to driving forward our research efforts. This transition allows Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology to accelerate the exploration of new treatments and improve care strategies for the broader endocrine and diabetes community through robust clinical trials.

We understand that many of you have built long-standing relationships with Dr. Blevins, and we appreciate your understanding during this transition. We are committed to ensuring your continuity of care is seamless and without interruption.

  • Patients currently seen by Dr. Blevins will be transitioned to another highly qualified provider within the Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology team.
  • Our administrative staff will be reaching out to you individually to discuss your transition plan and to schedule your next appointment with your new provider.

We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Blevins’ contributions to our practice over the past two decades and are excited about the vital new role he will play in shaping the future of treatment through our expanding research program.

If you have any questions regarding this change or your ongoing care, please do not hesitate to speak with our front desk staff or call us at the main office number.
