Have questions about your visit, billing, or how to access your records? You’re in the right place.
Due to the limited number of endocrinologists in the Austin area, we require a referral from your primary care physician before scheduling a new patient appointment. Once we receive the referral via fax or electronically, a scheduler will contact you. If your insurance requires a referral to see a specialist, that referral must be processed before your visit.
If you’re an existing patient needing extension or additional visits, please have your PCP office request authorization at least one week in advance. We cannot guarantee backdating of referrals.
Your referring physician’s office should submit a written referral to us, specifying the diagnosis for specialist evaluation.
No. For PPO plans, we only require a written referral from your PCP. You do not need further authorization from your insurance.
Yes. Most HMO plans require a referral from your PCP before seeing a specialist. Without this, you may be considered a private pay patient and be responsible for full out-of-pocket costs.
Patients are seen by appointment only. Urgent cases will be scheduled with the next available provider, which may be an Advanced Practice Provider. All referrals must be received prior to your visit.
To schedule, call 512‑458‑8400, option 2. Our scheduling lines are open Monday–Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, and are closed daily from 12:00 to 1:30 pm.
If you require a thyroid ultrasound before your appointment, we will try to schedule it the same day to minimize repeat visits.
Please bring the following with you:

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a $50 fee.
We understand life happens, but appointment slots are reserved for you and not double-booked. If you do not show, you may be charged a $50 no-show fee.
