Welcome Dr. Sapna Patel

Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology is excited to welcome Sapna Patel, DO to our team.

Dr. Patel’s expertise encompasses general endocrinology, with particular interests in managing thyroid and pituitary disorders. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Endocrinology.

For Dr. Patel, one of the most rewarding aspects of endocrinology is the opportunity to make a real impact on the people she cares for.

“I am deeply passionate about endocrinology because of the meaningful patient interactions it offers and the ability to witness a true difference in my patients’ lives,” she says.

As the field continues to evolve, Dr. Patel values staying current with the latest clinical advancements that can help enhance patient care. She appreciates the opportunity to be part of a practice that combines a versatile clinical environment with opportunities to participate in research.

Texas Roots and Extensive Training

Dr. Patel completed her undergraduate education at Baylor University before attending the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school.

She went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, followed by a fellowship in Endocrinology at UT Southwestern in Dallas.

Today, she is excited to begin this next chapter in Austin and is accepting new patients at our Central Austin location. 

Outside the Office

Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Patel enjoys working out, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She is newly married and is spending her spare time exploring Austin with her husband.

Dr. Patel also volunteers with the Junior League of Austin.
