Dr. Tran moved to Austin at the age of 5 from Vietnam and is fluent in Vietnamese. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin with Honors. She then moved to Dallas to attend the University of Texas Southwestern for medical school. She remained at UT Southwestern for her Internal Medicine internship and residency. She worked as a hospitalist, taking care of patients admitted to the hospital, for one year before starting her training at UT Southwestern for her Endocrine fellowship. As a fellow, she did research in osteoporosis and kidney stones. After completing her fellowship, she moved back home to Austin. Aside from her interest in bones and kidney stones, she has a special interest in Diabetes care, especially as it pertains to lifestyle, wellness and health. She spends her free time with her husband and two daughters.
Dr. Tran joined TD&E in 2018.
